Our Journey...Our Vision

Madrid Wanderers, formerly Wednesday Wanderers, was founded in 2015 by a one expat who married a Spaniard in her home-country of Jamaica.

Upon arriving to Madrid in 2014 with their 2.5 kids embarking on a new adventure, her curious soul drove her to explore and discover, first alone, then with two, then four ...soon became over a hundred. Now with more than 340 Madrid Wanderers strong.

She wanted to share all that she was learning and loving about her new home- Madrid.

Our group has moved from a small band of friends that dedicated itself to exploring Madrid, together, to an expansive community of people from over 40 countries (including Spain), that continues to explore all cultures we encounter, expanding our knowledge and experiences around us.

It comes with being open to meeting new souls in a similar situation- locals and foreigners alike, living in an amazing metropolitan city - where thousands of international expats also love and live. 

Madrid Wanderers has become a strong community of people bonding by their common passions and their desire to help others. 

Based in Madrid and its surrounding suburbs , we are an active and enthusiastic Social Culture Club with a variety of events, classes, experiences and activities taking place year-round.

We like to keep up the energy and excitement, always welcoming new members to take part.

Simply put, we love getting together to do what we love, while helping those we encounter.
